THERE ARE LOTS OF EVENING ATTRACTIONS
If you are staying at Grand Isle Resort & Spa, you already have access to a very popular evening activity, free of charge.

The bonfire celebration on Emerald Bay beach is an authentic and worthwhile experience. Beneath countless stars, and steps from crashed waves, the bonfire is a great place to socialize and meet new people. It is also your chance to experience Junkanoo, a Bahamian style of dance involving colorful costumes and up-beat music.

From incredible restaurants, to beachside barbeques, to an evening of live music or dancing with locals and other vacationers, Exuma has it all. While you may have to travel into George Town for some of the great nightlife options, there is something for everyone nearby.

DINE OUT AND ENJOY YUMMY FOOD

The Palapa Grill – Located on-site at Grand Isle Resort & Spa, this restaurant has it all. The menu is varied, including everything from pizzas, burgers, pastas and steaks.
Santanna’s Grill Pit – One of the top-ranked restaurants in Great Exuma, this colorful, roadside beach shack is a must. The closest restaurant to Pelican’s Bay Beach, this haunt’s famous dinner entrees include cracked conch, grilled grouper and lobster.

If you plan on traveling into George Town for the evening, be sure to check out the clubs that feature live music on a regular basis. From jazz to reggae to rock, you will have no problem finding the right spot for whatever suits your mood.

Eddie’s Edgewater Grill – A lively locale, Eddie’s offers live music several nights a week, including Rake and Scrape, a popular form of music performed with unconventional instruments. Situated on the edge of Lake Victoria, Eddie’s is worth a visit if you are looking for an entertaining evening that won’t cost you an arm and a leg.
Exuma Beach Resort – Want to hang out with the locals? The Exuma Beach Resort is a very popular haunt for Bahamians and second-home owners alike. It is especially popular on Friday nights, and there will always be music and dancing.

DON’T MISS THE FISH FRY EXPERIENCE!
The Fish Fry comprises a cluster of shacks in George Town. You will be spoiled for choice when it comes to sampling the local cuisine. The fish fry is also a popular meeting ground for locals. Head down there on any given night, and you might discover some live entertainment.

The entertainment scene is varied and tends to change based on the season. The best advice is to check with concierge at Grand Isle Resort & Spa for what is going on in the local community. Venture beyond the resort and take in some nightlife. You won’t be disappointed.
