Maxim, the men’s lifestyle magazine reaching nearly 9 million readers each month, has featured Exuma on its July/August issue.

Well, technically they have featured international supermodel Irina Shayk, but the famous Exuma blue waters provide an equally gorgeous backdrop.

Shayk was photographed for the popular magazine at Elizabeth Harbor Sandbar in Great Exuma, Bahamas, not far from the luxurious Grand Isle Resort & Spa.

Apart from her incredible beauty, Shayk is making headlines these days for her leading role and screen debut in Hercules, opposite Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson.

She is also the girlfriend of international football star Christiano Ronaldo.

Before Maxim’s latest issue hits shelves, the supermodel took the time to post a photo of herself with the swimming pigs of Exuma, becoming yet another celebrity associated with the region’s famous inhabitants.

WCPD Inc. and GIV Bahamas Inc. are now completing a documentary on the swimming pigs with Bahamian director Charlie Smith, which will be available in the fall.

Exuma is indeed no stranger to glamorous photo shoots. Last year, Grand Isle Resort & Spa hosted the Sports Illustrated crew for their 50th edition swimsuit edition.
